Drug Facts

Active Ingredient

Tetracycline hydrochloride 3%

Purpose

First aid antibiotic ointment

Uses

First aid to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns

Warnings

For external use only

Do not use

  • in the eyes
  • if you are allergic to any of the ingredients
  • over large areas of the body
  • Longer than 1 week unless directed by a physician

Ask a physician before use if you have

  • deep or puncture wounds
  • animal bites
  • serious burns

Stop use and ask a physician if

  • condition persists or gets worse
  • rash or other allergic reaction occurs

Label information

Keep out of reach of children.

If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions
  • Clean the infected area
  • Remove the twist cap from one vial
  • Apply a small amount of this product (an amount equal to the surface area of the finger) on the area 1 to 3 times daily, or as directed by a physician
  • Discard vial after use
  • May be covered with a sterile bandage

  • Store at room temperature 20-25°C (68-77°F)
