Drug Facts

Active ingredient

Isopropyl Alcohol, 70% v/v

Purpose

Antiseptic

Uses
  • for preparation of skin prior to injection
  • first aid to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns
Warnings

Flammable, keep away from fire or flame.

For external use only.

Do not use

  • with electrocautery procedures
  • in or near the eyes
  • longer than 1 week unless directed by a doctor

In case of deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns, consult a doctor.

Stop use and ask a doctor if

  • irritation and redness develops
  • condition persists for more than 72 hours

Keep out of reach of children.

If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions
  • wipe injection site vigorously and discard or
  • apply to cut, scrape or burn and discard after single use

  • store at room temperature 59°-86°F (15°-30°C)
